I had another day experimenting with riding in obviously female work clothes -- I rode to the most congested part of Philadelphia (Chinatown) in a bright pink helmet, balaclava, lobster gloves, and a skirt, winter coat, and red flats on my over-sized red mixte sitting bolt upright. so, then what happens when you go in male drag? also what happens when you try to hammer on your mixte and try to lane split or ride fast and aggressive? does one naturally lead to the other?

Nah, see, usually I ride on a diamond-frame bike but I still don't ride that fast or aggressive because I: a. tore my ACL falling over on trolley tracks, and b. have experienced getting hit by a car (not while on a bike). And people are TOTAL jerks even in my non-aggressive state.

And, I don't own a pants-suit so that's too much money to shell out just for a bike-science experiment. But maybe I can wear a sport coat and work pants or something.
