Seeing the movie for the second time, I have to say it made a lot more sense.  I liked it more, and I thought it flowed well, so I'm giving it an unreserved thumbs up, minus a couple of things that didn't detract from the experience of the movie.

So can't wait for the book this weekend!

I haven't posted in almost four weeks, mostly due to weird internet connections and having no time at all.  Sarah's shower went great, and when I figure it out, I'll post pictures of all the fabulous food I cooked.

Started on a new service today, the psych consult service.  Pretty laid back, although I think the attending has ADD.  I saw my first actively psychotic patient today.  He told us he was in a warehouse in the city where they make dog food.  Poor guy.  I think he's all alone, he came to us from a nursing home.  He is horribly Parkinsonian ( ( Read more... )

Today I met someone with antisocial personality disorder.  True, I have probably met other people with this condition, but it's the first person I'm aware of that had the official diagnosis.  These people are essentially sociopaths.  They act without thinking about other people at all.  They disregard rules and laws and basically have the mindset ( Read more... )

Saddest news of the day:  Lloyd Alexander died yesterday at 83.  He died two weeks after his wife of over 60 years died.

This is very sad news for me.  I was first introduced to Mr. Alexander's writings when my dad gave me "The Book of Three" in a Christmas bookbox.  Fortunately for me, I picked it up right away, and as soon as I had finished it, ( Read more... )
