Week 0 - Introduction

Hi! My name is Deb. My husband and I have been married for 24 years and have two grown children. Our daughter, the youngest, still lives at home. We're beginning to wonder if she'll ever leave LOL. Our son is married and we just welcomed our first grandchild! A beautiful 6 month old baby boy

I love to crochet. I'm horrible at finishing big projects though. I'll make dish rags and little bird dolls all day long but can't finish a baby blanket to save my life! :)

It was a baby blanket that kick-started my renewed interest. When I found out the daughter in-law was preggers, I took on the task of making a blanket for him. It was an exercise in frustration but I'm glad I saw it through. It's such a joy knowing that something so dear to him in the first years of his life is something I was able to make for him. :-D

I can't claim to be one of the "cool kids" either. I only saw it later after hearing about it all the time and thought I'd see what the fuss was all about.

Oh god Firefly. I love it. I keep hearing rumblings about them bringing it back or adding another movie or something. Sure hope that actually happens. ^^

I am teaching myself crochet at the moment. I wish I had lived near my Grandmother when she was alive to learn it from her.
