As always, very excellent and intriguing points, my friend ^v^ .. I hope you get more and more opportunities for these wishes.... I will always remember how fun it was watching videos with you suiting!.. On one other note too .. "Suiting is such a huge facet of the fandom now, but it's surprising just how little people ever seem to want to talk about it" ... That's kinda how I feel when I talk about Music here :/ ... I wonder sometimes if there's a music blog(s) out there somewhere that really inspires interaction and commentary... I've found one, but a lot of them are burnouts and while they talk, it's often depressing.. But maybe there's some fursuiting blogs where your ideas can really bring on some good interaction ^v^ ... (though I hope you'll always crosspost here if you do find one)... *wing-hugs*
Outside of a very few suits (that I see semi-regularly), I find it very difficult to remember who's who. But I suppose that's much like people you only see once every couple years or whatever. "Oh hey, great to see you...dammit...I know you, I know I do, I just...I'm sorry, what was your name again

For years before then I thought fursuiting was all about standing around, merely wearing a costume.
Hmm. You must have been in the wrong places at the wrong time because while there were significantly less suiters, there were still some really good ones, JD included.
I don't remember having trouble finding attention in fursuit - even before the squeak-speak. For me the costume allows me to not only get away with going absolutely physically nuts with energy..
I honestly couldn't even tell you the last time I had lots of energy. Many years. I range from neutral to slightly tired to really tired to holy shit who sedated me on a daily basis. Part of it is the sleep apnea no doubt, part my total lack of exercise, part who knows. And even worse, whenever I'm about to suit, it feels like half the time or more I couldn't possible have less energy even when I really want to go out.
I guess what I mean by that is I feel that as long as you're in the right mindset, you don't need to be "special" and "unique" to get the attention you

I know exactly what you mean about energy. I never seem to have much of it at all these days... I've occasionally found that drinking water and/or eating food helps, but not always. Sometimes food just makes me feel bloated and even more lethargic than before

While at FWA, I had more than one person suggest that Crosscheck should have a squeaker... 10 years that suit has been around and never squeaked, so yeah, that's not going to start.
