Tank stuff

Now I have what appears to be 4-5 small jellyfish looking things floating around and stuck to the glass. They are VERY small (half a mm or so) and look like tiny jellyfish...barely visible small tentacles and everything. I also have a sand mason worm. It lives in my smallest piece of live rock. I think I lost two more snails. Do they normally die

I've had some little jellyfish in my tank. I think they're so cool! The snails will die if there isn't enough algae for them to eat. I don't know how sensitive they are to ammonia/nitrate/nitrite. I've never personally seen any red aiptasia, but I have seen them with bands around their tentacles. The bubble algae thing could be valonia. Some consider them to be a pest, and they can get out of hand, but I don't think they're the big fuss that a lot claim. I'll usually remove them from my tank when I see them, but I don't have a fit like when I find an aiptasia.

I have plenty for the snails to eat which is odd. I also seemed to have very good levels on all of thee above.
By red I mean rust colored really.
We'll see about the rest but while Baja was over we found something new. 5 nudibranchs eating some green stuff in my tank. They are VERY small... so.. now I must find out what kind and how to feed them. Wow..stuff never ceases popping up in there.

That's very cool. :) I had some unknown sort of sea slug appear in one of my tanks. I have no idea what it's eating.

I love that about live rock, always new things popping up!

What did you all do, just scoop out a portion of some ocean habitat and take it home? O.o; You, Vandringar and a couple others all seem to have these mystery tanks. It sounds really cool, just wondering what happened? :>

Well that's basically what they do when they get live rock. Things also pop out of the live sand and you can also get hitchhikers on stuff you buy. It's super neat getting odd stuff just appearing.. I think that's a big part of the appeal.
