You would really like _Garden State_. I felt it shares a lot of the same coming-of-age themes that Harold and Maude had. Come over and watch it sometime!
And about love stories? Ballad of the Sad Cafe was, to me, preferable to Harold and Maude. Ballad didn't make me cry until the end, and then I cried for about half an hour after the movie was over. You can share even your deepest secrets with your beloved, but there is something about being beloved that drives a person to hate the lover, and not to respond in kind.
I'll have to check both of those out! I do need a few more good movies to watch. I have gotten into a bit of a rut.
I dunno if I could handle a sad love story right about now. I will keep it in mind tho for when I can. I will have to see how the movie handles that. I don'w know about the hating the lover part.. interesting tho.
