Wow - what a ride

Although announced by others, I’d like to officially announce the birth of our son, Julian Alexander Hwang Venable (no hyphen).  He arrived in the world June 8, 2005 at 9:09pm at Brigham and Women’s Hospital by cesarean section after an extended labor.

Congratulations, mzkero and crosslet! That's a beautiful kid. Job well done!

And yeah, it sounds like a rough ride getting there. My brother and sister-in-law went through something very similar, right down to the low blood sugar and jaundice and having to have junior in the hospital a few extra days. And in ten days from now he'll be sixth months old. :)

I was just saying today how i wasn't on any of the correct /friends' lists to know what in the world happend after water breakage.

Now THAT is some hair! ;)

Wow. Wow.

You guys are amazing. What a story! I'm so sorry the birth didn't turn out as you'd hoped. I do so understand the disappointment of that experience (I had a c-section too, though my decision process was significantly more lengthy and less pressured) but I'm so glad that everyone is healthy.

Once I heard "10 lbs.", I was fairly certain it was going to be a C-section.

All good, Dad. Congrats. Now the rest of your life begins.
