Need Ideas for a Work Outing

Dec 01, 2006 18:29

I need to organize a work party/outing to celebrate the completion of a large project. The group will probably be 10-15 people and I can budget approximately 50-75/pp. Preferably something in the Waltham area but open to a larger radius. Any ideas?

How about F1 boston? I don't know what their rates are, but they are definitely up for hosting corporate groups.

OK, so I thought exactly the same thing you did.

This is scary.

Hm. The things that come to my mind are unfortunately either outdoors or inexpensive, rather than dinner prices. But golf at the Stone Meadow (corner Rt 2 and Waltham St), bowling at Lanes & Games (Alewife rotary), or mini-golf and ice cream out at Kimball Farm. You can tell I worked at a dot-com during warm months.

It's not in the immediate Waltham area, but it's a pretty nice place. Upscale restaurant with a HUGE upstairs bar/entertainment area - nice billiards table, media room (with leather theater seats), nice bar/lounge area with leather couches. The website mentions these things but doesn't do it justice.

Chateau in Waltham equals very yummy, very convenient, inexpensive and can fit any size crowd

I was disappointed in their food the one time I went there with a substantial group. Should I give it another try?

If I were looking for a pleasant low-key restaurant in Waltham, I'd probably go with the Watch City Brewery. If I were able to go upscale, La Campagnia, Il Capriccio, Elephant Walk, or the Tuscan Grill.
