Yesterday was one of those days...

One of those days that remind me how lucky I am to live in Alaska. YAY! And you included pictures. Do you usually see the bears on the trail or fro-liking in the woods? The scenery is lovely. Your head looks different to be of a differing shape with that helmet on. And that is the first photo I have seen in order to determine how tall you art-- I am guessing 6 feet? What was in your backpack? I've seen bears, moose, porcupine, ptarmigan, and other woodland creatures; but I guess everybody was too busy bulking up for the winter to come harrass us. As for me, I go 6'2" and in the backpack was my water, previously mentioned granola bars, a light jacket, tools, and an extra jersey just in case it got too unbearably warm for the jersey I was wearing. I don't think the brown tree snake, like most other snakes in the world, would like the woods in Alaska. Whle they might be okay in the Summer, they'd most assuredly not survive the long winter.
