I've been reading a lot of Irvine Welsh lately. He's the guy who wrote "Trainspotting". Anywho, fabulous writer. It normally takes me about four pages to get back to understanding what he's trying to write, becuase he writes in about four different accents depending on which character he's narrating. Congratulations on reenlistment. That is good news! I like Welsh too, but it is so hard to follow with the accents throughout that I have to read it out loud. Have you read Heller too? If you like Welsh, then Joseph Heller's "Cath-22" might be something you would like-- not as out there, but a mind fucking nonetheless.

Never read Heller. It's gonna take me the better part of this month to get through the three Welsh novels I have left.

I'll know in a couple of months if the reenlistment is good news or not.
