Ok, I went to the Grey Nuns Hospital pre-admissions clinic today.
It went better than expected. We got there for my 1 o'clock appt 20 mins early, and were back in the car by 3! We (BL and I) were expecting to be there till about 4.
I got my bp taken, got weighed, got blood taken, got quizzed, got my bp taken again, got a loverly ecg (which, I am ( Read more... )

Glad all the pre stuff went well... I have Thursday-Friday off next week so I'll come visit you then... And you are going to be just fine, so you can come out from under the bed now.

Go back a few months to my tales of surgery and you'll that I can match you chickenshit for chickenshit, and even raise you a blubbering wuss. You get through it. No, really.

(OK, VERRRRRRY different surgery, I know, I'm just saying. And I don't think you'll be asking to keep anything they take out, like I did with my rib.)

OH good lord sweety! My surgery compared to yours is like comparing having a hangnail to getting your bunions removed.
YOU had every RIGHT to be a blubbering wuss. Good lord, I'd have been hysterical (ok, more so than I am now)

I'll be thinkin of you hon - I totally understand fear of surgery. Honestly I would be more worried if you Weren’t a lil apprehensive! Running in there throwing on a gown and yelling 'Dooooo It!!' would make you seem a tad odd! I'm glad you've got a good lady by your side!

This thought might be a lil late but you might want to ask your Dr about allergies to sedatives and painkillers.

LOL thanks for the hugs! Oddly enough, I've figured out I'm not afraid of the actual procedure that much, I'm afraid of everything leading up to it!

I have no allergies to sedatives and painkillers.
