Heard back from the shop today about my car Fullmetal (
here is a picture, by the way) and exactly how much damage The Boulder did to my poor wagon. And yes,
The Boulder. The name was not actually my idea. No one knew why I was giggling.
The rock was about the size of a small dog, for reference, and NOT "half the size of my fist" as the best friend

HE IS AMAZING. I love my car so much, seriously. It's a Volvo wagon with all wheel drive, so it's one of the safest cars on the road, and you really NEED safe on the road out here, as evidenced by the GIANT FUCKING ROCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I store all my on-the-road emergency supplies in the back, as well as all my adventure supplies (like knee-high rainboots for low tide exploration) so I'm always prepared. LIKE SMOKEY.
Also, seat warmers.

All right, the winter weather here is mild compared to places with continental weather, like in the Northeast, but *I* still think that 38 degrees is FRIGGIN COLD and I would not be able to sit my tail onto that cold leather seat and drive twenty miles without the promise of seat-warming in the near future. THEY ARE A NECESSITY NOT A LUXURY I SAY.
BOOOO. What's wrong with it? D:

Well, the rock got what was coming at it: it got shoved off the road and into the water. A WATERY GRAVE.

Also, A+ for Geico. I have them too. When my windshield got cracked they covered everything (even though it took the windshield guys THREE TRIES before they fixed it right wut.) They have friendly phone people, too. I like that.

And yes I have to use this icon for a good 90% of my replies to you :B
Friendly phone people are indeed friendly. I talked to a guy in New York who said he was jealous of where I lived, until I told him about the winter storms and the fact that the only road out of here is destroyed multiple times every year XDDD
