I've had a couple of people talking about coupons lately, and couponing in general so I figured I would share some of the things I've learned over the past few weeks in regards to saving money at the grocery store

Definitely see if you can start getting into it. I just checked out the list for deals at Meijer in Indiana. Some good deals you could've had this week if you'd been collecting coupons for the past month: - Free Chichi's Salsa - Mueller's Pasta for 34 cents a box - Crest toothpaste for a dollar - Shredded cheese for just over a dollar each - Can of Pringles for 84 cents And more! There's really a lot you can save with the coupon deals! For me it only takes maybe an hour at most to clip out the coupons I'm going to use on Sundays, so really the time I spend is well worth the money we save at the grocery store. :)
If you still shop at meijer and use a cell phone I suggest signing up for their mperks program. (I work there) Also make sure to do the online printable coupons off of meijers mealbox program also. The mealbox coupons can be used with a vender coupon ontop of your mperks and the mealbox coupon itself. *so at times it can be a triple savings to you and more often then not may if you have all three coupons* get you the item free.
Make sure to always check your mperks every few days though because we're always constantly updating and changing those coupons.
As for mealbox, more often then not all coupons issued in mealbox will also have a sunday paper counterpart coupon aka vendor coupon. So that should help to.
Don't forget to pay attention to coupons stuck right on the products. A couple of weeks ago, packages of Wholly Salsa had a coupon to try the Wholly Queso for free, and the Wholly Queso had a coupon to try Wholly Salsa for free. The register let the coupons be used at the same time, so I ended up spending like $0.80 (stupid sales tax) for $8 worth of stuff.
Absolutely!! I love finding those all the time, and I'll admit, sometimes I nick the coupons off of surrounding products to save for future use, because I know a sale is coming up. >_>
