For anyone who doesn't feel that Lucas has raped his beloved Star Wars Trilogy to the absolute fullest extent just yet, he announced that the Trilogy would be "re-rereleased" in 2007...in 3-D ( Read more... )

This is interesting, given that they lamed up Final Destination 3 by deciding NOT to make it 3D. That would have been great.

But before you dismiss 3D, I would like to cite the original Vincent Price House of Wax.

That scene in Final Destination 2 where the guy is crushed by a pane of glass and liquifies - yeah, that would have been totally better in 3D ;-)

as long as i don't ever have to watch episodes 1,2,or 3 in 3-d, i'm good. i don't need jar jar binks to be that close to me.

i had initial doubts about tarkin, but after this new information, i have warmed up to him.

I heard this news during the DVD debate - Lucas said something in an interview about him being torn between wanting to work on the DVDs or the 3D project first.
I have lost all faith in the flanneled one.

Oh! And I *always* loved Tarkin.
You know he was wearing fuzzy slippers while filming the destruction of Alderaan scene? He knew they would only shoot him from the legs up and the Imperial Boots were really uncomfortable.
And he like created the badass 'imperial accent'... woot Tarkin... :D
