House 7x16: Out of the Chute

Okay, first off, if you want to feel better about House/Cuddy, I strongly recommend reading An Ideal State of Imperfection by lieueitak. Post 7x15 Bombshells. It explores Cuddy's thoughts and feelings and reasons behind the whole ordeal and gives hope for the future. This is how I'd love their relationship to go. A girl can hope.

Now, onto the actual ep. )

house: season 7, tv: house, rec, house&cuddy are legit

This! I agree with you about everything lol. I liked this episode a lot better then Bombshells. But the writers did open a can of worms here, with the route they've chosen for House. I hope all of this leads to character growth in the end. I do like how Cuddy's guilt complex gets into play here, but I have a feeling it won't last for so long, especially since LE let slip that Cuddy won't be dealing with the breakup in a "mature way," or something to those lines.

But what I really disliked in the ep was House telling her to get the hell out of his way or call security. And Cuddy caving. It really bugs me how House can just get away with speaking to her like that, relationship and breakup notwithstanding. She's still his boss.

And I'm thinking he marries Dominica for her to get a green card or something. He can't be completely irrational.

Yeah, I definitely liked how this was written better than Bombshells, but thinking about it now, it may not be as bad. I think I'll have to re-watch this entire arc when the season is done to fully appreciate it ( ... )

For some reason, I'm really zen about everything right now and, despite the interviews and video blogs that are much more of a blow than the episodes themselves, I also keep expecting to see the character growth and eventual House/Cuddy endgame. Idk, I think I'm setting myself up for a harder fall. :P

Ahh, my mistake. I'm relieved it's in a surprising way and not immature! Because really, we don't need two immature adults in the non-relationship right now. I suppose by surprising, she does mean that Cuddy doesn't react at all? Or is guilty? Or is just tired?

Ikr, it's so weird that Cuddy's even at the wedding at all. Whyy. Dying of curiosity. And hope.

I'm really zen about this too. Watching this ep helped me come to terms with everything I guess. It's very strange. I thought I'd be angrier and walk away from this show, but not yet. If we get disappointed by the end of the season, then we definitely set ourselves up for a harder fall, but yet I STILL remain hopeful. What is it about this show and this character that makes us keep the faith? So very weird ( ... )
