[Karkat took his turn with the milk on the first day, to bring Jade back from kill drone state. He's been dealing with the after effects of the nasty poison that was inside ever since

[also watching the infomercial in fascination, although this is not in the least bit unusual for him whoa how do they get the food all liquidy pure motherfuckin magic]

[after Karkat is done with the phone, he might notice that Terezi is sleeping on the living room couch, a pillow clutched in her arms. one of the corners is gnawed. it seems like she's been there a while.]
[He sees her lying there, but isn't sure whether to believe it. He'd thought he'd imagined finding her earlier. He saw so many other things that weren't there, so why not her?
But here she is and now he's wracking his brain to try and remember what the hell he said to her earlier, because he's sure it was completely stupid and of course the day he was making an asshole out of himself would be the day she came back.
But she's back. He walks over and sits next to her on the couch and waits for her to wake up.]
it's a little while longer until she begins stirring, and when she opens her eyes, of course she has no idea that he's there. she's met with disappointment again, as if a part of her had hoped she would be able to go to sleep and talk to her lusus (impossible, she's gone) and re-learn what she'd somehow lost. it shows on her face; for once, Terezi does not smile. but then again, she also thinks she's alone.
she knows where she is, though, and ignoring her own disappointment, she lowers the pillow and calls out.] Karkat? Where'd you go?
[Right, that was something he remembers. He was leading her around, which would make sense if Mayfield took away her color smelling thing or however her weird vision works. He puts his hand on hers so she'll have a better sense of where he is.]
I'm not being a fucking moron anymore, by the way.
Oh, now you think, I am Other Tavros, too, oh, no, I'm really not sure, what to think about this, and am experiencing a pretty personal crisis, involving my identity, I think, I need to sit.
The real Tavros doesn't need to sit because he has no legs. I should know, I remember just how much blood got everywhere when they were horribly chainsawed off. It was like a brownish tidal wave of gore.
[ Jade doesn't really want anyone else drinking the milk, but dying has kind of knocked the wind out of her, and when she wakes up alive in her bed and hears Karkat heading downstairs she doesn't make any attempt to stop him. It's a little while before she even drags herself out of bed, not even bothering to get dressed, just wrapping herself in her blanket and heading downstairs. ]
Hey.
[ She flops down on the couch beside him, sort of leans against him and pulls her blanket over her head. ]
[ Jade isn't looking at him so she doesn't see the difference in expression. Something about his comment does strike her as strange though, so she looks up at him, studying him intently. ]
You drank the milk. [ It comes out something between a question and a statement as her brows furrow together. ] Did it make you sick again? Or...
[ She can't quite put her finger on what's wrong, this might be easier if she didn't feel like shit right now. ]
There's nothing fucking here except a bottle of milk, moron, and stabbing it didn't work. [as much as slick hates to admit it.] The shit are you babbling about.
