Today I heard the question "what is it about Garinger that is/was so "bad", or worse than any other high school?" Remembering that when I was a sophomore, there was a girl in my grade that was robbed and murdered by two older kids that went to my school... I consulted google to find out what happened with the whole thing. Well, I'm not sure when

Essa Davidson (who went to Hawthorne for sure and I think Garinger) and Melvin Hardy (Garinger student) killed Kedrin Bradley our 10th grade year summer... if you look in the back of our senior yearbook, she has a page dedicated to her.

I'm fairly certain there was one murder per year while I was at Garinger. That was one of them. They all happened outside of the school, though. The only tie to Garinger was that it was the high school the killers went to.

That's what was bad about Garinger -- the local media always waiting with bated breath for the next event to occur that would allow them to say "Garinger High School student" in connection with a murder, shooting, robbery, or whatever. The bottom line is that most people were scared of Garinger because of where it was and who went to it. The media were only too happy to feed this fear and reinforce the image people wanted to believe in.

Is this the older Eudy? Wouldn't the kid who got shot or stabbed at the entrance have happened while you were there?
