This is something he's been preparing to do for some time now, but he's still at odds as to whether it's even worth it. If the audio was on, there'd be a lot of muttering to himself. However, he knows that his stalemate with himself is ( Read more... )

I don't know any of them.

There is the Japanese sword and several types of Western sword I've seen since coming here.

I think mine's a Western sword, though goblins made the one that mine is based off of and I'm not sure if that even fits anywhere.

Fairly certain you can talk to just about anyone here. There's no shortage of swordsmen.

It's just a matter of finding one willing to teach me.

Hm. Wasn't there a combat school in development for something like this?

Or is your need more urgent?

I'd heard things about it, but I've been a little distracted lately. Maybe something's come of it and I just missed it.

Not that urgent, but I'd like to get started all the same.

[Well hey there, Housemate. You're a hard man to get hold of. But if speaking through the enchanted book is your preferred method of bonding, then Neville's okay with it.]

Why a sword, Harry? Is someone in danger?

[He is! Harry can be very sneaky when he doesn't want to be found and Hedwig isn't around to find him.]

Not right now, but I've hit at least one point where defensive magic hasn't been enough. It's this whole stupid power cap thing.

Is that where you've gone off to? Have you been fighting? Do you need support?

No. I'm not fighting right now, I just have places to be.

[Well. Roxas has fought with two Keyblades...and a stick. A sword can't be that hard.]

Depends on what you actually want to do with it.

I'd rather just use it for defense. I'm not really keen on stabbing people or anything. I'd just rather have a backup in case magic isn't working well enough.

Defense is a little easier than offense. Have you ever used a sword before, or is this just something random?

I have, but that's also been a little random.

I think that depends on what kind of sword you want to use.
