I am getting nervous. I have less than a month till Israel. I don't know fully what I am going to do when I get there. Yeshiva begins Sept 6 so I will have three months where I do not know fully what is happening. Thank G-d I have faith. I am getting things ready to go as well as the paperwork for visas and also for making Aliyah if that

You know I care about our friendship and I have to admit that I am extremely nervous for you to go to Israel. Isn't it possible for you to learn more about your religion here in the States? And I am sure that there are plenty of unmarried Jewish women in the US..... So what makes you want to convert and then run off to Israel? I don't understand? Israel is an unstable country..... The US is unstable right now too, but we don't have two very powerful religious groups fighting against one another and blowing each other up on a daily basis. It just scares me to see you go over there........

Yes it is possible to learn more about Judaism here in the states. However going to Israel to study is like a marshal artist going to a Shoulin Temple in China. The level of learning is different. One is surrounded by not only a culture that supports what you are doing but also having it permeate everything that one does
