Carlbach

This past Shabbas I went to Moshav Moadiim (sp). This is a Carlbach startup community between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Rav Shlomo Carlbach did a lot of wonderful things for the Jewish people. He was accepting of each person and was constantly helping people. As he walked through New York he constantly was giving money to each homeless person ( Read more... )

Hi. I followed you here from WJ2. :) I was about to write a long response, but then realized I may be misunderstanding you. What do you mean by 'Traditional' rabbis? Do you mean, 'Masorti?'

I am the one that wrote the origional post but I did not discuss Traditional in my post. Though in this context Traditional does not mean Masorti/Conservative but a group of liberal minded rabbis that still follow halacha however, as per many individual Halachic Opinions (Daas Yachid).

As apposed to the conservative movement who states that we can rewrite halacha to fit it into todays modern culture and society.
