i'll prolly pick myself because i don't like to inflict pain on others and i don't like bothering others. also i feel like i have more opportunities than the homeless person (housing, food, etc) and i feel like it's better for me to die than the homeless person because that person deserves something in life that they never experienced before

I personally would reverse the situation on the asker, who would he rather have die him or the homeless person, valueing another persons life is definately a must, but on the other hand you need to respect your life because its also a life. So ask him the question and laugh as he selfishly picks the homeless person using some excuse like Im better then he is to justify his choice.

Obviously, a random homeless person, as obnoxious and selfish as that may sound. In general, I believe if they are homeless, I have much more going for me anyhow, so why would I let myself die so some bum can down some whiskey with money that he spanged off me anyways? That's stupid. Most homeless people I have met had some serious fucking issues anyhow. Drug addicts. Alcoholics. Why should I give them my life? Bull shit. Drug addicted homeless peoples should be assassinated anyways. Have you ever taken a minute to think about WHY people are homeless? I mean, sure, I would feel bad for those who are homeless because their houses like burnt down. But I have talked to plenty of homeless people and they do drugs and drink. End of story.

I would choose myself over the homeless person because well, what do I have to offer that they probably can't? I wouldn't want someone else to die in lieu of me, it's not fair, it's not kind, it's kind of like murdering the person. Why am I writting this as a comment to you...ShapedKitten person? I wasn't really generalizing. Every homeless person I have met has done it to themselves (substance abuse.) like i said though, i would feel bad for someone whos, for example, house burnt down. And yes I would feel bad for some one who got layed off their job.

But at the same time I value my life. And I don't think everyone is equal. If what I wrote upset you, that's a shame. It's what's on my mind and I can't help it.

i would let myself perish over anybody. thats just the way i am. i couldn't live one day knowing that someone died in my name (yeah the war, i know people are dying in my name. and yeah, it is slowly killing me but thats slightly different because i myself didnt comand troops to kill them i did my best to keep it from happening and i failed, but its still different.) if someone was being shot, i'd leap in front of the bullet. imagine watching someone die and knowing that you could've saved them and decided that you're better than they are. how are you eligable to make that decision? i go with me. i've had a good life. now its their turn to.

I would let the homeless person die, because im lucky i have money and potential in my life and if i have my way i will grow up to become a politition and save lives of thousands of homeless people, cause the homeless person probably couldnt get himself to that position and not be able to help others. On the other hand im very much a pacifist and if i were confronted by someone who said they were gunna shoot me and i had a gun i wouldnt shoot them because id like to die knowing i havent killed anyone. But in this case i think more lives will be saved if i live instead of the homeless person.
