Dante would use the internet to keep tabs on the pulse of the nation, what the important people are thinking. She would rarely post herself - only enough to make her seem interesting yet innocuous. She would insinuate herself into various important groups, aiming to meet the most socially important alchemists and generals, and friend them/talk to them privately behind the scenes. She would act as though she were everyone's friend, but really she would be learning how to manipulate and control them, make them want to do her bidding. When wank does break out, she handles it by sic'ing her sock puppet journals Envy and Lust on people.

Alfons, being an engineering geek, would be in love with hybrid technology. He'd drive a Prius because they get the best mpg, and he is tall and would not fit in a smartcar.

As far as underwear goes, Alfons normally wears long underwear. Were he to be pulled forward in time though, he'd be quite distressed to learn no one really makes it anymore, other than Cuddl Duds for women. So he'd wear his wool underwear until it absolutely wore out, then he'd be forced to attempt boxer briefs and a white undershirt, which is the closest he can get to the feeling he's used to - tight material covering the most skin.

Alfons would be fascinated by the internet - so much information, right at one's fingertips! He'd spend at least an entire day on engineering wikis alone. Eventually he might move on to ars technica, slashdot, other formal-ish geek hangouts. It would take him quite a while to get out into the weirder reaches of the internet where we all lurk, and by then he might be more aware how strange the net really is...though he would still be exceedingly uncomfortable at all this porn of himself. (He would still download naked pinups of Ed as part of a paranoid, guilty pleasure.)

Scar first encountered cats as a relatively older boy - companion animals are not extremely common in Ishvar, owing to the harsh climate. As such they are much more fascinating and novel to him in general. He has a secret weakness for small soft things he can protect.
