[Groggily waking up somewhere outside in the city streets, Lavi rubs his head and clumsily turns on his communicator. The last thing he remembers, ironically, is Kanda hitting him in the back of the head, but the swordsman is now nowhere to be seen, and Lavi has no idea what happened or how long he's been passed out. Wha-- Huh? [Wince.] What're you talking about?

Always asking others for help, never getting to the bottom of things. My, my-even if the answer hit you straight across your confused little foolish face, you would still not know what to do.

The fogs really thick, I know, but what can you see around you?

I think I'm somewhere north of the fountain. There's some big building a couple blocks over. [It's the casino, but he doesn't know that.]
Where're you?

I don't think it's real safe out here though.

(what are you waiting for.
are you wasting this time on purpose?it's different for everyone, but he knows what to expect from his own mind, by now. (and even if he can rationalise it, know that the voice isn't hers and she has no idea where he's been all this time, it doesn't take the power out of it. her influence was already too effective for that ( ... )
