Bioinformatics Job opening

My team acts as the intermediary between the raw data and the principal investigators (PI). As such, we all do multiple projects. We focus on microbial genomes (viral, fungal, bacterial), and currently use multiple technologies (454, Solexa, ABI) - so we do both short and long read assemblies. Our analysis involves using visualization tools to identify misassemblies, as well as looking at the statistics that we regularly generate for assemblies and investigating anything unusual. FYI, we just added another requisition for our team, are going to soon be assembling mammalian genomes as well as microbial, and are going to be getting a couple of 8-core 128 gb RAM machines in the very near future to do said mammalian assemblies.
