Well,working with Lynn this summer never did pan out. Everyone thought it was a good idea, but no one knew how to pay me. I was not in the training budget and production did not want to pay me while I worked for the training department. Shannon is still in the hospital, he has had four surgeries now, the last a skin graft. So far he has not had any of his foot amputated. He has got a Staph infection and will have intravenous antibiotics for the next several weeks. As you can imagine he is heartily sick of the hospital. I came home from work yesterday and Roy had upsetting news. Our nephew, Shannon, had an accident at work. He was welding inside a tube used for the wind towers when it collapsed. He had both his ankles crushed and the Doctors think one of his feet may have to be amputated. Shannon is planning a wedding in June and for now they are not canceling ( Read more... )

We went driving around town yesterday. The world was all bright blue sky and sparkling pristine snow glittering on the roads and rooftops. The sun was warm, even though the wind was cold. Well I spent two weeks indulging in crabby, grumpy, lazy, unenthusiastic winter doldrums until I was sick of myself. Luckily, I was getting past them when my lovely daughter came home for a visit last weekend and we got to help her celebrate her birthday.
