Look who's still around around. I almost completely forgot about this journal until a chance comment at dinner brought it up. Today was kind of bittersweet, more bitter than sweet. I woke up at 4, not really wanting to wake up so much. I figured that I would just drown everything out with the playstation but I ended up getting to chat with friends online instead, which was better. Falling into a cavernous mouth black as night I land in a pool of gnashing ice water, it's teeth sinking into me like needles waiting to drain the blood. The cold has gripped him forever though he rests in peaceful sleep and doesn't notice. I think my problem is that I trust the people who will readily stab me in the back, and I'm overly defensive toward the ones who would shelter me from harm. -
Day 12
Tomorrow I go back north. I'm sure I'll have a great time, but something about going on a trip always makes me kind of sad before. I usually like to call someone the night before. This time I chose both the Elenas in my life but neither one answered. I guess I go in silence this time. -
Day 11 / American Dream
So things are generally going well. Work is boring as hell lately but at least it's stable and considering the state of things, I'm grateful I can at least get paid for wasting time.
