No homicidal rages yet...

Jan 11, 2008 10:13

So, I've been cigarette-free for a little over 15 hours. Of course, I was sleeping for 6-7 of them...but still...

So far, so good.

Wish me luck!!!

That is AWESOME!!!!! Good luck to you! Let me know how I can help!

You and I should get together... We can put off our homicidal rages together and scare small children... mine hunger induced and yours from nicotine withdrawl!

*HUGS*
Seriously, call me if I can do anything!

Thank you! I think just knowing that I have a whole mess of friends who are supporting and encouraging me is awesome...and really helpful.

We totally should get together and scare small children...it's just so much fun... ;)

You never know, though...I may just call you at some point, raving, and need you to talk me out of a cigarette...not likely, but possible. Let ME know if there's anything I can do for you! :) *HUGS*

Thanks! Actually, it's mostly sheer willpower...with a lot of help from my friends.

Basically, I decided that I was going to finish smoking what cigarettes I already had (about a pack and a half), and that would be it. Done. So I did.

Of course, I was only a half-pack-a-day smoker to begin with, so the nicotine is going to be the easy part to beat. I bought a pack of cloves to help with the activity-addiction, and that seems to be helping some.

Most of the rest of it is just taking it one craving at a time.

I also told pretty much everybody that I'm quitting, so I have a lot of people who are rooting for me, and who I feel (rightfully or not) will be disappointed if I fail.

Besides, this time, I'm actually doing it 'cause I want to. It's time.

Instead of being NEXT, how about quitting WITH me? Then we can champion each other. :)

...just a thought. Don't do it unless you're ready, or it'll never work.
