Today was 'Prison Day'. Basically, Prison Wardens meet the kids off the buses, lock them up in classrooms and tell them horror stories about prison all day - as well as shouting at them and making their lives hell to encourage them not to commit crime. I was a good tutor and tracked two of my form group all day to make sure they were ok.

Sounds like a bloody good idea, if you ask me. :-) But then I'm one for believing that people should be locked up for the rest of their natural life if they commit murder or rape (preferably in a small box which is just slightly too small for them to stretch out in...). And that people should be given the maximum penalty for things like carrying knives and guns. Oh, and drink-driving as well (which should probably carry a harsher punishment), and DUI of other substances as well.

As you can see, I don't tend to talk with my boyfriend about his line of work very much. I'm a bit opinionated about things.

freaky!! on a side note - you being a geneticist and all do you have any intro to genetics books I could borrow from you? I promise I won't make any dangerous mutants! (It's for work - a brief understanding of what onearth they are doing here would be good!)
