I should've lumped Nosferatu in with the classic B&W's at the end; my bad. (I also should've included the silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, which was the forerunner to the Frankenstein films!)

I will agree that the Blair Witch Project was scary, but the constant camera movement really gave me a headache.

I'm not much into Tarantino, but yeah, George Clooney was hotter as a psycho than he was as a doctoe!

Never saw Dark City or The Descent.

The Exorcist is my all time favorite. I've read forums of young kids saying how it isn't scary - I find that hard to believe, the film is the only sign of scary I've seen!

It's a complete mind game - the movies today don't do much for me though - like you I prefer the old classics. Vincent Price fan here :P

I remember that the book The Exorcist came out when I was in junior high school, and everyone would read it (surreptitiously, of course) and then pass it to the next person!
