But he did remove flesh from the bones with his teeth and/or gnawed on the bones of at least one of the victims. Doesn't that constitute as cannibalism?

As it seems the majority defines it, cannibalism is the practice of eating the flesh of your own kind. Mr. Saxon was witnessed eating the flesh of a human and as pained as I am to say it, because he is not human, it doesn't apply.

Oh. I wasn't aware the suspect wasn't human. So, he committed anthropophagy, practice of eating human flesh. But I suppose that makes no difference in this case, does it?

No, not as far as what he was arrested for. Unfortunately it really does look like we've got nothing. All we can do is keep an eye on him and watch for any more suspicious behavior.

Right. Yeah.
Oh, yeah, so we're misleadin' the public t'try an' slip someone up, right? Give 'em a false sense of security an' that?
[ooc: I wanted rational Master back too! I'm going to have to learn to brain so I can be my usual eloquent self again. CHRIS IS VERY SMUSHABLE. And TINY.]

We're trying to put his friends off their ease. Maybe if they think he's not as trustworthy as he should be, they'll slip up. And then you can make up for this weekend.
[ooc: I'm excited to see him skirt all of this business, tbh.]
I was worried you wouldn't be able to generate enough evidence against Mr. Saxon to hold him. I'm not sure we've met, Chief Beckett. I am Miles Edgeworth.
Could you illustrate this "course of justice" you're suggesting?
Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can. The course ends once we get to the point where in most worlds we'd send off the evidence to the DA to put together a case. Here; I don't know that the people are willing to do their part in establishing the basis of which would bring them the justice they're crying for. Can't say I blame them, entirely.
There is no DA here, Chief. If there was, I'd have someone to answer to, and a means by which to bring these criminals to justice. As I'm lead to believe, however, the court house goes unused?
As I said, that is unfortunately where it ends. It's my understanding it was at one time, before my arrival here. There are files in the library, but I warn you; going in there looking for something will miraculously cause it to be difficult to obtain.
Honey, I'm just making sure that you realize a human can do that job.
Not to mention, I'm on the police force. They didn't have evidence to do this shit legally and apparently a justice system works on shit like evidence.

[ooc: In other news, thank you. :)]

Not...exactly. He wasn't much use to us as far as anything coherent, unfortunately.
[ooc: Been too long, we want our Harold back -- also, watching the series right now /smushes Chris FOREVER.]

No offense to you, personally, Kate, I just... should know better than get my hopes up anymore.

Everyone should be allowed some hope. I wanted to give that to you. You deserved it.
