There isn't much protocol for anything. The people are angry, and we failed; they have a right to attack us. I won't be surprised if this isn't the end of it. Be earnest, it's what they deserve.

They're always angry. At no point in the past year and a half have they been even vaguely content with the way the police force operates. We're attacked when we act and we're attacked when we fail to act; we're attacked in spite of the fact that justice is virtually impossible in a place like this with monsters that defy the conventions of any makeshift legal system.

I respect you for trying to make the police force more than a joke and ready scapegoat, but I doubt it will ever be seen as anything more.

That's...unfortunately not something that's confined to this place, Justin. I don't know if you work with the police where you come from but in New York, all we hear is how bad of a job we're doing.

You don't focus on the masses, though. You focus on the people you help; the ones that you have to look into the eyes of. Sometimes you fail them, and that's what we did today. All those victims have to live now knowing that we can't do our job to keep guys like Saxon behind bars, where we all know he belongs.
