the original venue is closed... the theatre company lives on. Everyone figured it was inevitable. If you remember it was in a weird edge of NW Portland where residential met industrial... well, over the last 5 years or so every plot of land surrounding that spot became overpriced townhouses or condos.
The Brody had its best year (financially) yet - so it's in no danger of going away. The last I heard they have a permanent class/rehearsal place set up, and some shows booked at various venues about town.
But I'm sad to see the Old Brody go... there's something about having your own space.
Enjoying the Korea posts, keep them coming (until they deport you, at least...)

This makes me sad, it was a cool place. I did a couple of shows there, years back.
