These are just some things I've overheard at school:

teacher: and that's what happens when cousins marry
class: Ewwwww!
student: (whispers) Is it really bad for cousins to marry?

student: dude, you can't hang out with teachers. That's, like, illegal.

student: Man, I heard it rained 70 inches last night.

Indeed. The other students pointed this out to her. I think she was somewhat embarrassed.

Well that's good. The ol' catholic theory of teaching by guilt and embarrassment seems to still be working.
