While I had an awesome time at Rowany this year, I kind of missed Swancon while I was there. Swancon is a nice sort of convention, though fandom is a treacherous place (I say that mostly because I've seen a lot of crap from it, not that you the new fan will receive that). They do Swancon very well.

Last year, I especially loved waking up to Kaneda's coffee session, and Blade Attraction is an awesome thing. Did you play Roborally? Some of the people who run that are quite nice.
