November 24 ~ Thursday ~ Towards Afternoon

Mar 23, 2008 23:30

Of all the ways to spend a day off from school, Shuichi was at work.  It all began when he asked his parents if it would be possible for him to come home for Thanksgiving.  The feasts the chefs cooked up at his house were superb. His parents had already made other plans which Shuichi believed to be a private dinner for the two, and his request was ( Read more... )

Not having work, nor a family to celebrate Thanksgiving with Leo wandered around the streets for a while. His apartment seemed empty now due to the plans he has set into motion. Somehow and someway he ended up in front of the coffee shop Shuichi worked at. A small part of him was curious, the other lonely, he entered the shop. The bell over head rung to indicate a customer.

With a small playful smirk on his face Leo scanned the coffee shop for the target. May as well tease his family rival to brighten up his gloomy day.

Shuichi heard the bell on the door ring, but he didn't bother looking up. Considering the day it was, there were quite a lot of people at the coffee shop. Shuichi just figured it was another loser without a family come to spend there day pretending to work on their laptop while enjoying the sweet addictive coffee. If not that, then it could be one of the eccentric families who liked to change up the usual order of a holiday by going somewhere where no one else would even think to go. Instead of turkey, lets have coffee and some bakery type side dish.

The swordsman found his target who clearly forgot the rule to never have your back to the door, who knows what sort of enemy could come through it. A smirk on his face Leo step silently towards Shuichi until he was behind the rival heir. He bent forward and whispered into the boy’s ear, “ Working on this day of all days?” To add sprinkles to his cupcake Leo then blew into Shuichi’s ear and took a step back waiting for the fireworks.

Startled, Shuichi jumped out of his chair and whirled to face the person who intruded on his thoughts. Catching sight of the familiar face, Shuichi's attitude turned. "Sawada! I should have known it was you. You're the only one in this damned district that has no respect for anyone else. Even when I get a day when I don't have to see you, you show up where ever I am to dainty up my mood," he ranted.

Hikaru walked in, turning to give Kira a smile. "Isn't this place just adorable?"

"What would you like? I'll go ahead and put the order in if you know." Hikaru said, standing on her tip-toes to try seeing over the heads of others to see the menu. The problem with being only five feet tall was that almost everyone was taller and it was hard to see over people though, so standing on her toes did little in the way of helping to see.

"Just a regular coffee, black." Kira answered as he looked around nervously.
