No.

Hipsters by and large are drawn to things outside of the mainstream and use things because they’re counter culture. I was about to say that I don't have a PDA, and then I remembered that I have a Palm-IIIc (I think it's called, anyway - it's a Palm-III, and it has a colour screen) and a new Apple iPad. I've only fired up the Palm once to see it if worked, and I've fired up the iPad maybe two or three times since I got it. I'm still not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do with it!

That aside, what I really wanted to comment about was the idea of the pleasure of actually writing something by hand. While a typed letter is all find and dandy, and Emails are quick and easy, there's something far more special about a hand-written letter. I've always enjoyed sending and receiving real mail, and when I've wanted to send something to someone that really mattered to me, I would write the letter by hand. While my penmanship isn't going to win any awards, I'd like to think that it's mostly legible.

The only problem with hand-written letters, it's that smilies don't work as well in that medium! ;)
