the company I work for was bought out so people have been laid off. more people have quit. and every time someone leaves...there is cake. ice cream and cake in the office every week for months. white frosting. blue frosting. pink frosting! it never ends.

my office gets more like "Office Space" every day.

my cubicle is situated right under a big glass atrium. on most afternoons, the sun slowly looms into view and then beats down on me for the rest of the day. I notice it around the same time every day...about 12:17. the top of my head gets warm and a glare covers my computer screen. I look up and see the yellow beast edging over the big glass dome. I was sitting on the couch a couple of days ago watching the Twins (my team!) beat the hell out of the Yankees. I was alone except for the 2 dogs I've been watching for a friend of mine. but with each run, I'd cheer and throw my arms in the air. I'm pretty sure those dogs think I'm crazy.

I went to the dentist for the first time in 3 years. yup, my first visit since I moved here.
