I have to object to the points raised in the feminist post you linked. The entire argument is that something must be done because women might be disproportionately affected, based on medical statistics and "traditional" gender role conformity. This is absurd in its entirety. From a true feminist perspective one would argue that something should be done so that persons of either equal gender will not be negatively impacted.
