We have had rain at least once or twice a week since early May... and temps just touching 24 on a hot day. Not the best of summers.

Oh, your garden is always so colorful. I love that galvanized bucket of blooms. What a brilliant idea!

Thank you - and I am really pleased with that, I thought hanging it on the rail would keep the slugs out of it, and it has worked very well!

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Two questions: what are the rock-looking things in what seems to be a bird feeder of some sort in the fourth photo, and have you had any issues with weeds coming up in the gravel?

Those are fat balls. Although, as they are the cheaper version because they were on offer, they have fewer obvious seeds in them - and the birds are not terribly impressed - but I reckon there's enough other stuff around at the moment so they can just cope ( ... )

I am very happy either sitting out there, of just sitting in the conservatory/sun room, with windows all around where I feel as if I am out there even on cold days.
