This week has not been as organised as planned - on Tuesday I managed to slip, with my good leg, on a piece of clear plastic I had knocked onto the kitchen floor myself. As I tried not to fall I managed to twist the arthritic left knee ( Read more... )

Thank you for sharing the Ukraine story, and your lovely part in it. Three cheers for every bit of bright color, softness, and love in this weary world.

Thank you - the knee is more or less back to its usual level of back-ground discomfort now, thank goodness.

I feel as if a few hats etc, won't make a lot of difference - but then when there are a few of us making them they really can help bring a smile to some war-weary wee faces.

I'm sorry you tweaked your knee so badly, but very glad you were able to manage even with it injured. You always have such a busy life, being a "wheel down", so to speak, is a real obstacle.

I'm so happy that there's so many good things going to Ukraine, and now more to help the children there. It's hard to do much more than donate money from this side of the world, simply because of the logistics and expense of shipping and so on, so it's gratifying to read about more direct help coming from countries closer in.

Thanks - the knee is back to 'annoying' again now, which is its usual default :)

It is good to be able to remind the children there that they aren't forgotten - and equally good that there are still vehicles going out for use by the military as well. I think Putin would like the rest of the world to more or less forget it - so we try hard not to.

Thank you. I think we value our good fortune in living somewhere peaceful - and being able to do small acts of kindness is within our capabilities, so we do them.

Oh no! A hurting knee is bad, really bad! I hope it will be back to okay soon!
Caravaggio looks great on his new bike! As for the knitting- I love your ´handbag knitting´! Great idea!

The knee was such a nuisance! But it is back to its usual level of being uncomfortable and a bit unreliable again, now, thank goodness.

Poor Caravaggio - his last bike was getting very tatty! He is beginning to show his own age, too, but should keep cycling for a few miles more yet.

The handbag knitting needs to be simple and small - and then it keeps my hands busy when there's nothing to do - and slowly builds up :)
