Nicely Busy.

Nov 30, 2024 13:55

I have had a nicely busy week. I'm afraid I have probably missed posts as I sort of skimmed my FList either over breakfast or before bed, and I am sure I wasn't going far enough back or, to be honest, concentrating properly. My apologies ( Read more... )

You have been creative! You also knit much faster than I do.

Thank you! I have knitted so many pairs of the fingerless gloves that I know the pattern off by heart and can knit them whilst watching TV or whilst sitting chatting - but I was sewing all 6 up on Thursday at 5pm :)

You've been very busy indeed! You have, in fact, made me feel exhausted! LOL
I don't have that many friends from long ago but I still think of them/us as girls.
:)
I love the Puffin. ♥️
The fingerless gloves are brilliant though it's mostly too warm here for any gloves at all.

How can NYK2 be 15 already?

(And recycling the candles which are not very used at all is a very good thing!)

To be honest, when I actually looked at them all and remembered also shopping, doing the washing, cooking some evenings, I realised it was no wonder I was feeling tired!

But most of the crafting stuff is nicely meditative, if you see what I mean - doing the metres and metres of knitted cord requires nothing more that turning the handle and keeping the end properly weighted, and the fingerless gloves are to a pattern I have knitted so often that I can do them whilst chatting, or watching TV.

I am rather proud of the puffin I must admit.

And I know - 15! She is taller than me, has a slightly laconic sense of humour, and is really a rather nice person.

Thank you! I have enjoyed finishing each project.

Although I have to be in the right mood - so I got up on Wednesday and thought 'I will finish that Advent calendar as soon as I've made coffee...' And did :)

It works really well. A friend had one and, like you, I thought Want One! As long as you keep the yarn able to run freely, and remember that weighted clip to keep pulling the cord through the machine you can even get the boys to turn the handle!

Mine is one of these
