I have had a nicely busy week. I'm afraid I have probably missed posts as I sort of skimmed my FList either over breakfast or before bed, and I am sure I wasn't going far enough back or, to be honest, concentrating properly. My apologies ( Read more... )

It is one of those simple but satisfying techniques - cut the fabric into 2" squares, then poke a hole in a polystyrene ball, put a dab of glue, then poke the centre of the square of fabric into it, repeat until the ball is covered :)

What a clever machine! I've never seen anything like that, but then i don't peruse knitting techniques or supplies.

It's often so cold here I need mittens rather than fingerless gloves, but they would be so handy for using my phone while I'm outside. I may have to find some to order, as I don't have a local knitting friend. LOL

That puffin is so adorable.

The little 'knitting mill' means the four stitch cord is very easy to make - and I have seen it used to 'write' on bigger pieces, or you can make loops for a festive knitted version of the paper chain, and so on.

I find the fingerless version useful when driving - and also when serving in the wee shop as I have naturally cold hands and it is as old stone building.

You need the flip top version of the mits!
