Today is the first Sunday in Advent - and I was ready for it-

Our Advent calendar got eaten by our basement during summer. One more thing which seems to have gone poof, but I am pretty sure that after Advent is over it will miraculously get spitted out again by one of the boxes.

I am sure things hide on purpose. I have finally managed to find the packets of tiny jingle bells that I bought in the January sales 2 years ago to use in Christmas crafting - I have found them twice before, but each time they disappeared again - then last week there they were, in the box labelled Christmas craft stuff...

My mom did an Advent calendar much like that one when we were kids. We always loved it.

There is more anticipation when you don't know what the gift will be than when you know it is a chocolate :)
