Every year, Linda takes a group of 4 of 5 people who say they can't arrange flowers and gives them tasks to do - and every year her team do most of the church in a day!
The knitivity is a favourite - the baby will go in on Christmas Day. (You can tell Emily wasn't around when I took the picture - at age 9 she still delights in tucking one of the sheep up in the manger whenever she goes past it - and a couple of others then, with equal determination, remove it.)
What talented parishioners and wonderful photos! I especially love the Knitivity (both the name and the figures), and the mosaic work on the memorial plaque is a beautiful touch. Thanks for sharing all of this!
Thank you! Linda is the driving force behind the decorating - aided by 4 or 5 others who say they can't do flower arranging but will do whatever task she sets them :)
The memorial plaque is a lot older than the building, as it was one of the few things brought up to this building from the old church in the 1980s. It is really rather beautiful.
