Aren't they great! And the person who made them was going to just throw them out until Linda rescued them.

Love that little angel that has survived so well!

The sheep made me LOL...poor little wilted tissue guy hahahaha

And the little donkey...the way his ears are set remind me of this book, which we had when I was little: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXSCDqUMVRg

Thank you so much for the link to the story - I hadn't come across it, and I know several small people who would enjoy it.

It's a cute one! I remember the artwork fondly, and as an adult I'm surprised at the big words that were used lol

How lovely to have things that people have made and are still around. Lots of memories there, even if some of them are tinged* with sadness.

*ETA I hate autocorrect!!!

I swear autocorrect sometimes waits about 30 seconds until it knows you aren't looking...

Christmas is such a time of memories as we get older - from the Christmas cards from people we were at university with, to the various decorations associated with times, places, and people.

I love the beautiful decorations in your church at any time of year. Our current vicar will only allow lights.

I do think that is sad. Although the couple of snowmen and the robin are not Biblical we do focus on the Christmas story, stars, bells, the occasional angel.... And I would be very sad for there to be no flowers on the memorial.

The Knitivity, love it!!

Those wooden frames will be forever useful.

The Knitivity is much loved. Sometimes, before the baby goes in on Christmas day, you will find a sheep in the manger, or the donkey lying down at the back, as various children pass by it :)

The frames are great - they take the place of, but are more versatile than, traditional church windows when it comes to decorating.
