Spring is later this year than last year. This time last year my journal shows that Barbie the camellia was already in flower. This year there are just the first hints of pink on her buds - much as it was in 2022 and 2023

Same here. We did not have the cold winter we had once, but we clearly had to do more heating. Not that we ever had plants which would flower at this time of the year- even the long-gone snowdrops didn´t flower so early! But there are neighbours who, too, have gardens, and all are pretty flower-less. Now I am waiting for the cornel cherry to show their yellow blossoms...
And I really should ask you for a flickr crash-course. I swear, one day I will. It's just so hard for me to get used to new things. *shakes fist at Pinterest that no longer allows to post pics directly to LJ*
Flickr really is easy - you can literally just drag and drop your pictures if that's the easiest way for you, or click on them, to load them. Tags and albums are purely optional if you don't want to bother with them. I would be happy to walk you through with screen shots sometime.
I have never tried uploading my own pictures to Pinterest - as to me it seemed easier to keep on using Flickr!
It's still winter here and signs of Spring are very late. The tiny purple violets that have naturalized all over my garden are blooming, though. That's something. How odd about your snowdrops that they'd all disappear like that.
It is definitely still winter here, too. I think Barbie was just very early last year :) But how lovely to have violets.
There are snowdrops open in D-d's garden, and in the church grounds, so I would usually expect there to be quite a few outside the conservatory - but there don't even see to be any of their leaves. It was nice to see the hellebores doing well though.
I really like that picture, too; it was one of the very first I took with my new camera.
The mini daffs are almost always earlier than the full-sized ones. But when I drove up north last week, I could see that there are a lot of daffodil leaves growing along the banks beside a couple of the roads so there should be a lot of flowers in a month or so.
I was pleased with the prompt 'bowl' enabling me to also add the brownie!

But we often expect to get another cold, possibly snowy, spell in March, along with the daffodils.
