I would choose Seattle. I am not a theme park person, since I don't enjoy the rides. I do like watching other people play on them, but if this was the purpose of an entire vacation I don't think it would be fun.
Personally, I enjoy exploring new places. Seeing where my family and friends live is very exciting to me. It also gives me information about other areas of the country because I tend to move a lot. I think the weather would suit my vacation needs more too. The idea of being trapped inside because it's too hot would make me stir-crazy. And really humid places don't always get cooler at night. They stay muggy.
I'd choose Seattle. Having to stay inside during the day in Florida doesn't sound like fun to me at all (but then, I don't care for the heat and humidity around here in the summer, either), even with the possibility of rides in the evening. And amusement parks, though ok, are not my idea of a good vacation, anyway. Exploring an interesting city, hanging out with friends and family sounds like a lot more fun.
SEATTLE! If you go to Seattle you can go to THE WET SPOT which is the country's only co-operatively owned public playspace. And of course all that other nifty stuff in Seattle.
Plus, come on, it's DISNEYWORLD. It'll be bland, predictable, wholesome, right-wing America-approved fun. Blah.
I would definitely go with Seattle. As far as Disney is concerned, I wouldn't want to deal with the heat, I'd rather deal with the crowds during cooler times. However, I would think that March or October would be just about perfect Disney times. No school vacations, more temperate weather.
Seattle, on the other hand, would have perfect weather in August. Besides that, being less expensive for you, you might be able to vacation longer, or save for an addition splurge/vacation later in the year.

Just kidding
Although I would enjoy visiting the pacific northwest, my vote would have to be for Florida based on the fun factor.
However, if we could just move Disney World to a wooded area...

You and the Blond are so much cooler than that.
