Saturday, I went to Backwoods, a store with all sorts of outdoor equipment. There I found a Tilley hat. It is supposed to be super durable with a lifetime guarantee to not wear out. I had my hair chopped off yesterday. It is not really that short in the entire world of hairstyles, but I had at least four inches cut off. It is collar length now, the beautician said it is chin length. I really like it!!

We came home from the lake today. I was very tired, sitting out in 100 degree weather for two days is exhausting. We still have not done anything to the house that we had planned. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

I worked on July 4th until about 1 pm and then was on call after that. I had to return to the hospital at 5:30 pm, but then I was free for the evening. We went to a friend's house for hamburgers and then to Reeve's park to watch the fireworks after dark. I applied for a position as a medication systems management specialist, with a foundation that evaluates the quality of healthcare in institutions and other healthcare agencies.

The non-profit agency never called me for an interview. I guess that my salary requirement scared them off. Oh well, if I put my desired salary at less than market for a pharmacist, they should think that something was wrong with me. Their loss, because I would have made an outstanding addition to their organization.

We are off to Branson, Mo for the weekend. It will be short family reunion with my dad's side of the family. I hope that I can have an opportunity to shop because I need some new threads for work.

On Saturday we will be going on a riverboat dinner cruise on Tablerock lake. It should be fun.

Today, my hubbie and I went to the $1 theater and saw The Sentinel with Keifer Sutherland and Michael Douglas. It was pretty good. The thing that I really liked was that a lot of it was filmed in DC. It reminded me of when Koreansal and I went on a trip there a couple of years ago! You have to watch it to see all of the great DC shots.

I saw this ad for "Ghost Rx" and they hire pharmacists to work temporary assignments with the VA and NIH. It looks like you could travel and work at different locations. The beauty would be that you would get paid for it!
