pro hair color and wavy hair?

I'm getting my hair professionally dyed for the first time ever. I'm so excited. I'm going slightly darker. Has anyone lost their waves/curls when they dyed their hair? Thanks!

My hair is straighter for a few days but then bounces back (as you can tell in my userpic)

I've never had any problems, and it's been dyed a lot. It's always a bit softer and silkier after a dye, so it has less body (since the frizz makes it look fuller), so that's the only difference....and it's a welcomed difference.
