Opera weekend
LJ didn't know what to do when I hit "Post an Entry" and it conked out.
But I'm in the mood darn it!
A couple of weekends ago Bud and I went home to IL to see the opera. It was quite superb - and it is really cool to be semi-related to the producer of the show. Sugar Creek

Thinking out loud:
Tomorrow night after work we are bottling the pyment that we brewed a couple of weeks ago.
My great-uncle died a couple of weeks ago in AZ - since the weather was so bad back home in IL at that time the service is being held this weekend - so we are headed there on Friday night. I called and told my Dad tonight of our plans and ( Read more... ) -

So, we made pyment - which is mead with grape juice. The last time we made it turned out so awesome that I opted for it again.
When was the last time we made it? Only about 10 years ago or so..... guess it is overdue.
Anyway, it is happily fermenting away. It is hard to understand how neat it is to have active fermentation going on unless you ( Read more... ) -

CandyLand
Okay, so I somehow ended up with the game CandyLand after our work gift exchange.
It is the game where you are a gingerbread man and you draw cards with colors on them to tell you where to move. Totally random change kids' game, one of my favorites when I was a youngster.
The guys in my department thought it would be fun to play.

I went to a Time Management seminar.
Bud totally agrees that it did me no good, on the contrary I am rebelling against the notion of living my entire life by lists and scheduled blocks of time.
Maybe I'll do a modified application of it; but I know that there is no way I can live by lists. BARF! -
Work is better
